MAC Here Comes Joy...

I don't know about you but Highlighters give me the HIGH!
"But I can't see it when applied!" 
That's the beauty of highlighting products, you aren't supposed to see them but it lifts your face like no other!  And I recently found it in a Limited Edition product called MAC Opalescent Highlighter (From MAC Snow Ball Holiday 2017 Collection).

Thanks to my sister-in-law for gifting me this!  The packaging itself is already a gift!  If you look at it closely, it indeed look like you're holding a bunch of snow!  The muted gold packaging is actually smooth but the texture looks like a crumbled foil!  I love it!  No amount of photography can show you how great it looks, you have to touch them ad see them in person.

My sister-in-law gifted me 2 and one is lighter in color, I can't accept it in my heart to get 2 compacts so I actually returned one for her and asked her to use it instead!

Let's talk about the shade I picked for myself -  HERE COMES JOY

Here Comes Joy is a peach gold highlighter with hint of shimmer.  I like how the product is extremely subtle and would work for ALL skin tone!  I can imagine this looking fresh and peach gold on fair to medium complexion, while it will look warmer and more "gold" on users with medium to darker complexion.

The joy of this product does not end in a single or double swipe, you can actually use this on top of ANY blush product you own - could be a blush powder, a tint or even a cream!  This works even on lips!

I of course would love to show you the effect using this product alone.  With a dense blush brush, I apply this from the apples of my cheeks highlighting key areas of my face. Piling 2-3 layers is the best for me based from personal experience.

VOILA!  Seems like I'm not wearing any product at all but I like how it highlights key areas of my face (cheekbone and nose bridge) without people noticing I actually have makeup on!

I went further and tap a bit of the powder on my lips!  Do you like it?
