Captain Marvel Trailer Reveals FIRST Footage From Marvel Film

Marvel Studios released the first Captain Marvel movie trailer. Starring Brie Larson as Carol Danvers, the 90s-set film will tell the origin story of the titular superhero. The Marvel Cinematic Universe marked its 10 year anniversary in 2018 with the release of three films - the wildly successful Black Panther, the monumental Avengers: Infinity War, and a solid sequel in Ant-Man and the Wasp. However, fans are looking ahead to the next Marvel Studios release and the company's first of 2019: Captain Marvel.

With Larson starring as Captain Marvel, the film marks the first MCU entry to be headlined solely by a female character, following Evangeline Lilly's The Wasp co-headlining the Ant-Man sequel. Captain Marvel also marks the first MCU film to be co-directed by a woman with the team of Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck at the helm. As such, Captain Marvel will feature quite a few firsts for Marvel Studios, and fans are understandably excited to get their first glimpse of the movie - especially after the first look at Larson as Captain Marvel arrived arrived earlier this month - and they now can.

Marvel Studios released the first trailer for Captain Marvel, featuring a new look at Larson as Carol Danvers. The film co-stars Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Jude Law as Mar-Vell, Ben Mendelsohn as Talos, Lashana Lynch as Maria Rambeau, Gemma Chan as Minn-Erva and Mckenna Grace as young Carol. In addition to Fury, Captain Marvel sees the return of fellow MCU characters Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg), Ronan the Accuser (Lee Pace) and Korath (Djimon Hounsou). See the trailer below.
