If anyone thought he can read or predict what was in Frida Giannini's mind while designing the next summer collection, i think the show proved him wrong.
Yes Frida is still Frida and her designs are still created for The Real Woman; two seasons ago Giannini said she is designing for mature women and she is still proving it.
A Glamorous show inspired by the work of photographers Guy Bourdin, David Bailey, and Chris von Wangenheim and by Marrakesh took us back to the 70s spirit and this is where all the colors came from. The show opened with some color blocks of Orange, Turquoise and Purple, in the show as well some safari jackets in suede, 3 black jumpsuits and dresses all worked with details, loads of details and pleats and asymmetry. Leathers were densely laced and dotted with gold hardware or fringed, linen garments were seen in the collection as well but not even one garment came plane, empty of details or accessory. Python leather was there as well, dyed in gold to make the detailing even more expensive.
Will bring you photos here from the collection and its details hope you'll like it as much as i do.
