Beauty UK Posh Palette in Eden | Review

BeautyUK is a brand that I've stopped and looked at in Superdrug many times in the past but I've never actually bought anything from the brand. I've haven't really heard much about their products, despite them being very affordable and easily available. Recently though I've finally dipped into the brand and today I'm reviewing their Posh Palette in Eden* which is full of neutral, easy to wear shades.

Firstly I really like the clean white packaging that the eyeshadows are in, most palettes are black so it is nice to have something a little different in my collection. The two windows at the front are handy as well so you can see what shades are inside. This palette has 10 eyeshadows in, 2 of which have a matte finish. They are all neutral shades as well, ranging from champagne colours to darker bronze's and browns. It also comes with a dual ended sponge applicator but I personally have no use for that, the mirror inside the palette is rather useful though.

The 2 matte eyeshadows in this palette are a let down, they are poorly pigmented and lacking in intensity. Fortunately the majority of the shadows have a satin/shimmer finish. The shades on the bottom row definitely are the best, they are the most pigmented and I do generally prefer the colours. I do love the first shade on the top row though, I've been using that shade the most I think.

All the eyeshadows are a bit chalky and it can be a little messy when you go to put your brush into the pan but when applied to your eyelids I didn't find there to be any fall out which is good. With a primer they started fading in the evening but without the colour starts to fade in the early afternoon so you'd definitely need a primer when using these eyeshadows.

Overall I don't love this palette but I do like it and will dip into it now and then. You can buy it from Superdrug stores for £5.99 or online at the new Baobella Boutique which is a free members only online beauty store where you can save lots on some of your favourite brands and products. Prices are slashed meaning you save yourself money when buying products!
