Look What Arrived!

Look what I found at my door this morning! My MIA e.l.f nail polish in Dark Glitter Purple! It arrived in the same size box as my other products arrived in together, a bit of a waste I thought? Anyway I am disappointed in this colour and I will tell you why.

It didn’t come in a product box this time (no waste), it was just wrapped in a plastic film, so you can tell if it has been opened or not, which is great! It also had a sticker on it saying, ‘Brand New Formula’, overall it looks like any other £1.50 e.l.f nail polish, but the colour is way off!

When I first saw it on their website it was a NEW colour and I was looking for a full glitter purple nail polish, like the Red Glitter by Barry M I have. The swatch on their website showed a full purple glitter colour, but when I received it this morning, let’s just say, it is not what I wanted! L

It is really dark and it has more blue glitters in it than purple and the formula is very washy, you would need several coats, plus it looks too shiny/glossy, a glitter polish is not typically shiny/glossy. I’m grateful that they sent it me, but I just don’t like it, sorry!

It is partially my fault because I didn’t think to check swatches on Google Images, but the name and website swatch misled me for some reason, even though it does say Dark Glitter Purple, I was still expecting a colour more like e.l.f Purple Dream nail polish, but full on glitter! It is actually a nice colour, but just not my kind of colour and finish, better luck next time! J
